Same Machine, Same Brand, Same Size- Good for All?
Many famous brands available in market, few from Japan some from Germany like Komori, Manroland, KBA, Heidelberg, RMGT and what not. Question remains - Does a brand suitable for every type of market?
According to my expertise - There are 2 types of market in India -
Commercial & Industrial
Commercial Market - A market where average quantity of job is below 3k where pre press, press and post press owns by different individuals.
Industrial Market - A market where average quantity of job is above 10k, mostly jobs are either heavy boards or text books.
Similar machine cannot cater the requirement's of both the market. Some are fast make-ready and few has more pile height. Whereas some have suitable feeder for papers and some are good for heavy GSM boards. Every machine comes with a specification of different swing gripper technology. Few comes in a shape of drums or some are eccentric. Some machines have double diameter impression cylinder and few have broad ink foam rollers. Few have good dampening system. Depends on the requirement you need to chose between large deliveries or you want to go for short deliveries. Every brand comes with there specific mechanical technology and electronic technologies. Different brands have there own vision whether to maintain the brand monopoly or their end user experience.
Conclusion - Before expanding and entering to the printing industry keep a room for initial consultation with a person who has a deep dive knowledge about available machines and different industries experiences. This will help you to understand your customized requirements and where the market has the best suitable machineries for catering your needs.
